What it is
Combined Score, traditionally called hi-low, keeps both partners in play on every hole. The team's result is its high ball plus its low ball added together, and the lower combined total wins the hole in match play.
Because both scores matter, a great score from one partner cannot fully hide a blow-up from the other. It rewards teams that are strong top to bottom.
How scoring works

- 3.The two teams' combined totals are compared; the lower total wins the hole.

Handicaps
Combined Score uses 100% of each player's course handicap in net mode, allocated on their own stroke index. In gross mode no strokes are applied and the raw combined totals decide each hole.
