How to Score

A short guide for first-time players. Takes 90 seconds to read; you'll be ready before you tee off.

1.

Open the link your commissioner shared

Your commissioner posted a Score Entry link in the group chat. Tap it. You'll land on the score-entry page for your trip — phone or tablet, doesn't matter.

Tip: bookmark it. You'll come back to this page after every hole.

2.

Claim your spot

The first time you open the link, you'll see your trip's roster — everyone's names. Find yours and tap it.

You'll be asked to set a short recovery PIN (4–15 letters or numbers). If your phone ever clears its session — switched browsers, cleared cookies, new device mid-trip — you can come back to the trip link, tap That's me next to your name, enter the PIN, and you're right back where you left off. Pick something you'll remember.

3.

Pick the scorecard you're keeping

On the Score Entry page you'll see one row per match (Ryder Cup) or per group (tournament). Tap the one you're scoring.

Whoever taps first becomes the scorer for that card — the one entering numbers for the whole group. Usually it's the player who's most into their phone.

4.

Enter scores hole by hole

For each player on each hole, tap + or to set their gross score, then advance to the next hole. The app handles handicap math automatically — if a player gets a stroke on a hole, you'll see a small badge showing it.

Made a typo? Just go back to that hole and tap the score — you can edit any hole until the round is finalized.

Lost signal at the course? Keep going. Scores save to your phone and sync up automatically when you're back online. Don't refresh the page while offline.

5.

Review and finalize

Once all 18 are in, tap Review. You'll see the full scorecard — every hole, totals, who won what.

When it looks right, tap Finalize. That locks the round in and pushes points to the leaderboard. Done.

If you finalized but spot a mistake, ask your commissioner — they can reopen the card.

Troubleshooting

I claimed my name, but now I can't get back in+

Most common cause: your phone cleared its session (private mode, cleared cookies, switched browsers, or just enough time passed). The app still thinks the old session "owns" your spot.

Self-service fix: reopen the trip link. Find your name in the "Already claimed" list and tap That's me. Enter the recovery PIN you set when you first claimed. You're back in, no commissioner needed.

Forgot your PIN? 3 wrong tries locks you out for 5 minutes. Message your commissioner — they open the Score Entry page, tap Free up Players in the top-right corner, pick your name, and tap "Free up". You'll get a link back, re-claim with a new PIN, and you're in.

Someone else accidentally claimed my name+

Same fix as above — your commissioner can free up the wrong claim from the Score Entry page. You can then take the right one and set your PIN fresh.

I'm not the scorer but I want to see live scores+

That's the Leaderboard, not the scorer page. The commissioner's link to the leaderboard is usually pinned in the group chat too. Anyone can watch — no claim required.

The app feels stuck or stale+

Pull down on the page to refresh, or close the tab and reopen the link. If a hole isn't saving, check your signal first.

Still stuck? Tap the Feedback link inside your trip — your commissioner will see it. Or text them. They're the boss.
